가장 큰 이유는 역시 '골프 천국' 미국의 환경이다. 한국 무대도 크게 개선됐지만 그래도 아직은 LPGA 투어의 시스템을 따라가지 못하는 게 현실이다.

훈련 시설은 더욱 비교가 안 된다. 천연 잔디 연습장에서 대회 때 사용하는 똑같은 공으로 연습할 수 있다. 한국에선 쉽지 않은 일. 또 각 클럽 업체에서 전문가들이 파견돼 대회 시작 전부터 선수들에게 새로운 클럽을 제공하고 기존의 클럽을 수리해 준다. 선수들이 찾아갈 일이 거의 없다.

LPGA 사무국은 선수들이 마음놓고 경기에 집중할 수 있도록 서비스를 제공한다. 대표적인 것이 '차일드 케어 센터'다. 결혼해 아이가 있는 '엄마 골퍼'을 위해 사무국에서 전문가들을 고용, 아이들을 돌봐주는 시스템이다. 아이 때문에 경기를 포기하는 것을 막기 위한 조치다.
지난 2007년 아들을 낳은 한희원이 이 프로그램을 많이 이용했다. 사무국이 운영하는 차일드 케어 센터는 1년에 20만 달러 이상의 예산이 들어간다. 단순히 아이를 돌봐주는 게 아니다. 체계적인 프로그램에 따라 교육을 시킨다.
