[스포츠조선 이승미 기자] 아카데미 시상식에서 여우주연상을 수상한 프란시스 맥도먼드의 트로피가 도둑 맞는 해프닝이 벌어졌다.

5일(현지시간) 버라이어티 등 외신은 "47세의 테리 브라이언트가 프란시스 맥도먼드의 오스카 트로피를 훔쳐간 혐의로 일요일 밤 체포 됐다"고 보도했다.

외신은 "범인이 아카데미 시상식 이후 진행되는 애프터 파티에서 프란시스 맥도먼드의 트로피를 훔쳐갔다"며 "범인이 애프터 파티의 행사 티켓도 가지고 있었다"고 설명했다.

한편, 프란시스 맥도먼드는 지난 5일 열린 제90회 아카데미 시상식에서 영화 '쓰리 빌보드'(마틴 맥도나 감독)으로 여우주연상을 수상했다.

'쓰리 빌보드'는 범인을 잡지 못한 딸의 살인 사건에 세상의 관심이 사라지자, 아무도 사용하지 않는 마을 외곽 대형 광고판에 경찰을 겨냥하는 도발적인 세 줄의 광고를 실은 엄마 밀드레드(프란시스 맥도맨드)의 이야기를 그린 블랙콤디다. 3월 15일 국내 개봉.
