Park Hits First Major-League HR in Dodgers Shutout of Expos

The Korean right-hander allowed five Expo hits, striking out seven and walking one. Park is now at the top of the Dodgers bullpen for wins this season.

Commenting on his first-ever home run since joining the Major League, Park said “It feels great. It was fun. It’s my first home run. It was a fastball. I was feeling good before the game in the bullpen. My body was feeling good. I knew I was going to do good from the start. I trusted my curveball and changeup. Just concentrated. As long as I work hard, days like this will come.”

Park has chalked up a total of 60 Major League wins since his 1994 debut with the Dodgers. His next appearance on the mound will be August 29, when LA faces off against the Milwaukee Brewers.
